No I did not read that part. But what is surprising is they will be using the 2.8 diesel from VM Motori (Iveco) which is used in the current Jeep Wrangler, you would not know who owns/uses what now a days.

I had a read of that one too, also that Mitsubishi will make a large SUV for Nissan's middle East export market. I was under the impression that Nissan was about to release an all new patrol for middle east export and to run parallel with the current Patrol sold here, with an independent front end and a big petrol engine. Is this a Mitsubishi designed model, or will Nissan axe it not long after release here. It's all interesting stuff, and hopefully the consumer is the winner with all these new models.

Will be interesting to see how many extra sales the Dmax picks up when the new ute arrives and has to establish its credibility in Oz. It might well be a good ute, but I would want to see them driving around for a couple of years before I would consider purchasing. I think Holden do well at the moment due to the common knowledge of their Isuzu underpinnings, that being one of the considerations I had in mind when I purchased mine.

Cheers Tanka
