It can get a bit windy in the arvos in summer but 50 is out of the ordinary. JervisBay can also get windy. In the days of my scuba diving down here I would only go out in the mornings when it's perfect. I think April to October are the best months. I know, I live here

Catt,

That brings back memories. My father managed the pub there for 3 months when I was a kid.

Am hoping to visit at the end of the month for the first time since I was about 5

Cheers

After living at Orient Point for 10 years & running Hire Boats it is the norm for the Noreaster to raise it's head about 11am most days. The name Culburra I believe is Aborigonal for 'Place of the winds'.

Been fishing down there for quite a while. Best go out at sparrows and back by 10am. Then after dark, but take great care.
