Hello,am having trouble with my Coleman hot
water service.Need a gas regulator,and can possibly get one,secondhand, out of Coleman Austr' when they get a dead unit come in for bits.Does anyone know where,or if it's possible to get one from anywhere else,thinking new might be better.Hope someone can help,Thanks

Usually Coleman are fantastic and usually fix products that are out of warranty (
well that's my personal experience)...
If you havnt taking it back, take it to a Rays Store..The rep visits the store all the time..

Mate,rang Coleman,Yes they were as helpful as they could be,7 yrs old,have no reciept as it was a gift. The response was ,no prospect of warranty,could supply a gas reg' once they get one from a warranty return.Cannot supply a spare part as a new replacement partWhat I'm thinking is that if someone spends this much on a bit of gear,why can't i get bits for it? .So that's why I'm looking for a brand new bit.Think that's good service?I don't???

Being 7 years oldl it would have been one of the originals that came with a lifetime warranty, even though lifetime apparently means 10 years you'd still be covered. But you may need the receipt. My one that I bought in 2004 decided to stop working, kept shutting down the burner as soon as it fired up, still had my receipt so sent it back to coleman, they said they had no idea what was wrong with it and couldn't fix it so they sent me a brand new one, can't complain about that but it has only a 3 year warranty like all new ones.
The wording on the warranty is intersting, my book that came with it clearly states that coleman will warrant the product free from defects for as long as I am the original owner of the product, now that means a lifetime and the top of the page says lifetime warranty but coleman assure me it really only means 10 years which isn't bad but it's not a lifetime.

They don't mean your 'lifetime', they mean the anticipated life of the product, which is a nominal 10 years.

I understand that but the way it's worded it specifically says while you are the original owner it will be under warranty for life, now if life of the product is only 10 years they really should mention that. I know I'm being a bit picky and I am more than happy with the service I got but I didn't write the warranty conditions they did. They have obviously now realised it was not a good idea from their side and the warranty is now only 3 years.

By todays standards, 3 years is a pretty good warranty.
