At least they made the good choice of letting people know where they were going.

I wonder if they found the great inland sea? Interesting to know how the surf was.

Equinox...what a great piece of info to have. I never even knew it existed. Have printed out and will put in the glovebox with the service books.
Cheers.

Thanks Equinox

A very useful resource for outback adventurers such as yourself, however there appears to be an updated version, particularly changing the meaning of X to "need medical assistance".

Even though they hadn't advised anyone locally, they followed the rules; stayed with the vehicle, and didn't activate EPRIB at first sign of trouble - they were saving that as a last resort. It sometimes doesn't work out so well for less prepared overseas tourists. Not a time of year i would choose to do the CSR though.

You are right, they didn't activate their EPIRB which showed a sense of responsibilty, EPIRBs should only really be activated in a dire emergency, not as some seem to do because they are just inconvenienced.

Mate,

If it would be too much trouble would you mind just putting a few words in your post about what is on the link??

It's not to much trouble, I'm just a Man of few words.

I am not sure why this bothers you.

I just checked the forum rules, there is no rule to suggest that I need to say more.

That will keep the moderators happy. LOL

I am sure the Mods can get the rule changed if you really want it to be, that is if it needs to be a rule to make you change the way you interact with the forum, but I thought As the first post in a thrad is really a start of a conversation, then maybe it should start with a statement or comment or series of words that outline the reason for the thread not just a link. It just gives me the bleep s, I am not sure why you need to be sure that it bothers me.

Hey Bonz I am not the only person that puts up a heading and a link without a detailed thread, however I am the only person that you have personally admonished because I have, to be honest I have only done it twice and you have admonished me twice for doing so, and that gives me the bleep s.

This being an open forum, I can give as much or as least info as I think is necessary, this is perfectly legal and within the forum rules, so if it gives you the bleep s so to speak then don't open my threads and read them it is your choice.

The last time I looked David and Michelle owned this site and they make the rules, I know you can moderate the rules but in this case there is nothing to moderate.

In fact this time it is you that is being a troll.

I wonder how long this reply will last???, last time it was 10 minutes. LOL

Imagine what life would be like, if people decided to ONLY do what was required by Rule or Law !!!

e.g. it's totally legal to drive at 10km/hr in the right lane in a 60km/hr zone.

The reason it is better to at least say a brief word about what the link is about, is that it may be just another link to a stupid Youtube video.

Now I remember why I lost interest in this forum before! Chill out, life is too short to be so pedantic.
