No doubt one I'll have to add to my list of "to do" tracks Pinko. The fence and fire-breaks are very similar to the boundary fences on the Tarawi Conservation area in SA. Just goes to show how similar some country can be despite being separated by a couple of thousand kilometres. Some years ago I was amazed driving down through Salmon Gums, Grass Patch and that area of southern WA wheat belt and seeing the mallee trees. It was like driving back through my old home turf around Sea Lake and Ouyen in Victoria's Mallee area.

Cheers Mick

Hi Pinko, the fence that comes down from the North for miles and then stops in the middle of nowhere, is a vermin fence that funds dried up for, and that is where the money ran out, the Holland track deviates slightly around the bottom end of it. Cheers, Kanga.
