Hi all
I am going to put a winch on my pathfinder and was wondering what items I would need when using a winch ???

Heavy leather gloves, tree trunk protector, springs immediately to mind.
A shovel is useful too.

As a minimum a tree trunk protector, a pair of gloves, a snatch block, an air brake to put over the cable (could use floor mat) & 2 bow shackels. Additionally you may at times need an extension strap/cable, a drag chain, a recovery storage bag, an equalizing strap & a handheld
UHF radio.
Consideration will also need to be made as to if your battery system is up to the job.

A good training course would also be a good idea.
It would not any good having all the equipment and not knowing how to use it in a safe way.

If i had my time again i would look seriously at a winch cradle so you can put a hitch receiver in your front bar and use the winch either end...Your power supply by an anderson plug...
