We're looking at going on the Anne Beadell Hwy east-west in June and wondering if anyone is interested in joining us? Planning on leaving Coober Pedy 5th or 6th of June.

Sorry, we are two weeks earlier (leaving Coober Pedy 14th, 15th May)

Hi Kieranl,
Sorry, we've done it a few yrs. ago. Great trip, very scenic towards W.A., but the corrugations around Emu will shake your teeth out of your head even when doing all the correct things. The W.A. side is far better for road conditions if you haven't already heard.

Yes, we've heard about the corrugations. Getting new OME suspension on the Patrol in anticipation. The old OME suspension has had a good life but leaving it in place for this would be asking for trouble

Hi kieranl

Make sure that you allow a minimum of seven days, longer will be better. To make the trip more enjoyable, keep your tyre pressures right down low to act as a shock absorber. There is lots to see along the way with great scenery as well.

You do not have to book fuel at Ilkurlka, but giving them a prior phone call will make sure that someone is there when you get there, and allow a minimum of 4 days to get there from Coober Pedy.

Gave a great time.
