Plugs for Codan 9350 antenna

5 wires but a 6 pin mil connector with one unused pin.

Have you asked Codan if they have them or where to get them.

The Coax Connector is readily available, or you could just add a PL-259 plug (front) to SO-239 (rear) right angle adaptor - $9 from

These connectors have NIL waterproofing so you need to make sure you seal every joint with CoaxSeal or SelfAmalgamating tape.

The Control Cable connectors are very specialised - I'm not sure if you can get Right-Angle Plugs.

The coaxial cable connector is simply an SO239 (?) from memory with a PL259 plug on the end of the coax. A right angle connector is easily available from most good communications shops.

The 9350 control cable connector, both male and female and made by Amphenol . Their website has a number of catalogues to download and they're in their somewhere.

I'm not too sure whether you will get a right angled connector for this plug, but it's worth a look.

What I did was to rotate the antenna in a particular direction to 'protect' these cable and connectors and after many years of use have had no trouble with them. I do however use a liberal amount of self amalgamating tape to waterproof these connectors and I also feel this helps with the 'strength'.

Liquid PVC available in a small can from Jaycar is a good way to waterproof these connectors and other things too.
