G'day all, planning a trip across the Great Central Road to WA and noticed on the permit application that no ULP can be carried. It stated that only BP Opal fuel is permitted.
My question is can I use this fuel in the Honda EU20i Genny.

Did read on another forum that it will void warranty and i think it was stated that it will not do the engine any good. Quite happy to be corrected if i am wrong . Perhaps an e mail to honda aust and put the question to them to be sure.

I heard the same, that is don't use it or petrol with ethanol fuel. Check with Honda before you use it.

Thank's Den & Trickey.
I have emailed Honda and posted here while waiting for a reply.
I phoned "The Generator Place" but they had never heard of BP Opal, they did say not to use Ethynol.
Looking at the BP web site I dont think Opal contains any Ethynol.
I will await reply from Honda,

Just in case you do not know,
Opal is an unleaded petrol that has the chemical that fuel sniffers like taken out.
Also note that in 2 years time all fuel will have a minimum of 10% ethanol.

And please let us know how you get on with Honda,

Cheers Dodg.
