Hi, I.m new to posting and I have tried to find some decent info on electric
winches. I was particularly interested in the Scintex winch. Does anyone have any experience with these
winches. They seem reasonably priced and have : or seem to have a cone brake similar to the "Premier brand" winch.Any advice would be greatley appreciated. I have read lots on posts on the pros & cons of the "cheap" Chinease
winches but I am particularly interested in the Scintex winch.
Looking forward to your replys
Many Thanks

Are you really sure that you need a winch? We fitted one many years ago, thinking that it would be useful if we got into trouble. It's been used only once - to get someone else out of trouble. An expensive bit of ballast! Unless you expect to get yourself into trouble when travelling alone, I'd suggest that a snatch strap is far cheaper, lighter and more useful.

Thanks for your input. I'm still not too sure if I really need a winch but if I can get some info on the Scintex winch I'll be better informed as to weather to go ahead with one or not. By the way what type of winch do you have.
Many thanks
