Rick,
Cape York Trailers are made in
Cairns by Ahern's. Try this link
http://www.ahernmetal.com.au/ . I have had a softfloor side fold model of theirs for the past 5 years which I sold in December and I have actually upgraded to a brand new hard floor model which I took delivery of from them last week - The Evolution :) and am very happy with it. They make good gear and it is usually all hot dipped galv and
well sealed. The leaf sprung models usually had Pedders shocks with them. They are quite heavy on but are brilliant to tow. If you have concerns over the ball weight I'd suggest that you get it weighed before purchase to make sure it is within your tow vehicles limits. What year is it ? The canvas work on later models is done in house but the standards all along have have been pretty good as far as the reports I have gotten from other owners.
Cheers
Lindsay

Rick,
Actually I think I may have an old brochure of theirs at
home which may have some original specs for the Weekender. I'll have a look and get back to you if you want.
Cheers
