Hi' we are building our own mobile
home and would like to know if there are cheaper alternatives to using pvc wall panels in the shower. Has to be a good waterproof material, and what should we use for the floor as its an odd shape and cant get a mould to suit. We live in WA, looking forward to any help members can give as
well as tips. thanks

Hi - we went through the motorhome construction back in 2005. Started with a bus full of seats - and the end result is on the cover of the CMCA journal "The Wanderer" - current issue February 2011.
I used lamipanel to sheet the shower
toilet walls and ceiling. Used genuine lamipanel internal corner, external corner and straight joiners.
No mould or leak issues. Another good trick is to give the whole interior surface a good polish with automotive product BEFORE ever using it. The water beads and runs off like off a ducks back and soap also doesn't stick as easy.
Some construction photos including the bathroom can be seen

You're welcome.
About a years work - part time.
But very satisfying and rewarding to know we did it ourselves, and can't blame anyone else if something goes pearshaped! LOL !!
