Can someone tell me if Ellmoos Rd from Jarvis Bay Rd to Sussex Inlet is suitable for a 4wd with camper trailer. What about the crossing nr Sussex Inlet is that a
bridge or ford?
Will be taking overseas friends on a trip and wanted to do a loop and not have to backtrack.
Thanks

You can drive a sports car on Ellmoos road it is always in very good condition but there is no camping allowed in that area, there is paid accomodation available though but has to be pre booked, they do not take bookings from the site. It is a dead end road so you would need to back track.
By saying that you do not want to backtrack I assume that you are wanting to go to Jervis Bay / Huskisson and then head further down the coast via Sussex Inlet?
If that is the case you can just head out through Sanctuary Point and around St georges basin to Sussex etc

Alby,
Thanks. I was hoping there was a way through close to the coast. Now plan to do as you suggest.
cheers
