We were travelling south of
Ballina northern N S W the other day and we pulled into a
Rest Stop for a cuppa, and we found lots of Hens and Roosters all over the place, I was wondering if anyone knows who owns them, or are they FREE RANGE, at least they would be fresher than Kentucky Chicken lol lol.

dont know about those ones but north of Auckland at the bottom of the Pohuehue Viaduct there are also wild chooks.
They've become a bit of a tourist attraction with the Japs tour buses but have been culled out a little as they were so prolific

Daza
pretty sure they belong to the turf
farm across the road. they have been in those two
parking bays for years, and most travelers seem to feed them.
...........and just a minute.dont tell me you were heading down to your favorite tourist park at Palmers Island?
............and was security notified that you had gotten through the border??
hahahahahaha.

When I was trucking on Highway 1, I ran over a three-legged chook, I looked around and noticed a
farm-house set away back off highway, so I went to it and saw the farmer and told him I just ran over a three-legged chook.
I know said the farmer, I breed them.
What for, I asked?
Well the missus likes a leg, the son likes a leg and I like the leg.
Thats fantastic I said, what do they taste like?
Dunno, can't catch the little buggers.

Think there used to be a Goanna at that
rest stop like there is on most of the others on that stretch between
Ballina to
Grafton... He would probably keep them on their toes....
Does this answer the question why did the chicken cross the road?
