i was at the Adelaide Caravan Camping and Outdoor Adventure show last weekend. i was keeping an eye out for an affordable camper trailer which was both well build/made and came with toolboxes, kitchen, water tank, batteries and converter etc.

i came across the Camel campers. they seemed to be the best price for value and quite well made

has anyone heard anything about them or had any experience? heres the website-------http://www.camelcampers.com.au

any information would be appreciated

cheers, Matt

Hi Matt

We looked at the Camel campers when we were in the market for a new camper last year. They're built in Brisbane but we bought a Customline also a Brisbane based company. The customline and Camel make almost identical campers, but the customline was slightly cheaper as you start off with the basic camper and add the bits you want, ie. water tanks etc.

We've had ours for a year now, and done several short and long trips, easy to set up and very happy. Worth a look at their web site. customline.co.au

Regards Jon

He just got it all sorted out when wife got ill, so sold camper and brought a caravan so ,all is good. regards Macca

Hi Matt
I purchased a Camel Bushman plus last Sept from the dealer in melb who is relatively new and took over from the previous dealer. Camper was delivered on time just before Christmas. I had a miriad of options and changes I wanted made and none of them waas a problem. You can see mine on Myswag under the name of stevo. I am very pleased with the product and their service and would recommend them. This is my third camper after having a Trublu and a Pioneer previously. I find the camel to be very well built and good value. Some of my changes have been incorporated into the new model. Sly buggers!! I added an extra water tank, battery upgrade and front mounted, swingup jockey and extended drawbar, extra tailgate latch, front stabilisers, gas strut bed lift, carpet to bed base etc.
hope that helps

Thanks all
All your information is very helpful. I dont mind saving a bit more for a camper of good quality and i believe they do offer the best options from what you have said. Now its just time to start saving the pennies haha!
Cheers
Matt
