Hi all,
Awhile ago we asked about "tick proofing a campsite" and we received some very good replies to the question asked in post 84594.
We are back from our trip to the Leschenault Peninsular and in particular, the
Belvidere Campsite area and this is our reply to …. A way to tick proof
our campsite.
The 40 % Bushmans deet …… the toxic one ………….. worked a treat!!
The only time it did not …………. our first night in
camp ……… with our camper in basic setup …. Feet out in the breeze …………. One mozzie bite ……………….
For the rest of the weekend …………. Re-apply deet after washing hands or having a quick body wash. ………….. and all is
well.
A LOT of people left the area citing the amount of mozzies, being the main reason for leaving.
Many thanks to everyone who offered
information and advice …………………….
We had a GREAT time away …………………. And our Cobb altenate cooker …… worked a traet.
Cheers,
Wayne & Sally.
PS …………… it is a pity that people with dogs … cannot see the “NO DOGS SIGNS”
And people with a lighter …. Cannot see the “TOTAL FIRE BAN” signs.
Cheers,
W&S.
