We have a 1990 millard and it looks like the safety switch has bee gutted.
What should they look like?
Don't want to get a sparky in just to find that nothing is wrong.
Thanks in advance.

G'day Bushy, The safety switch is pretty much the same as one or two of your house electricity trip switches. It's hooked up to your 240v AC electrical power to stop you from being electrocuted should something short out or be connected incorrectly. Get a licensed electrician to fix this for you, as it has to be inspected when roadworthy ticket is being issued.

Hi Bushy, Just had my 1991 Jayco 16ft inspected for change over registration to Tasmania and had to replace the safety switch because it was out of date.
Still worked ok but because of the Australian standards had to be replaced with
ciruit breaker part CLIPSAL RCBM216/30.
Checkout one in a new van and compare it with yours.

Hi Bushy
Exactly what do you mean by gutted ??
If it appears damaged in anyway then it should be replaced by another RCE or better a "universal RCD " from Protex

Hi
Edit to above
RCE should be RCD
The change shall be done by a licensed electrician.
