We are soon to head off around the country towing our 3 to 3.5 tonne off-road caravan and are anxious to know the total loaded weight and the ball weight when loaded (as
well as the weight of the decked out 200 Series tow vehicle). We have only driven the unit back to
Perth from the Sunshine Coast after purchase (second hand) last July, but it was not loaded for an extended trip. If anyone has knowledge of a public weighbridge in the
Perth area, could you please provide location clues? We are aware of one public weighbridge in the Hazelmere area (near Midland
Junction), but would appreciate other suggestions. Yellow Pages seems only to recognise makers of weighbridge equipment, rather than public facilities. Thanks.

Shell on Bannister Rd in Canning Vale...think it is still open. The external weight display did not work but I ran inside and its displayed on their console.
Matt.

Gidday
Where are you? North, south or east of the river?
There has been a weighbridge in Great Eastern highway West Midland for donkey's years and there is also one at the City of Canning tip (sorry waste station) in Canningvale phone 9231 0670.
Cheers

Hi Rocco,
The West Midland weigh station is no longer. They dug it up late last year.

'Fraid so, agree it is a bit of a shame (but in the eyes of the authorities it was probly a bit of a shambles....)
The below mentioned Cleanaway is only 10 mins further on (or closer) - handy being on the corner of Tonkin Hwy / Collier Road - easy access.

Do you have a local tip with a weighbridge? I have one where I live and just drive on and look at the figures. It is primarily used to weigh the rubbish so that you can be charged for dumping it.

Thanks to you all. I have been across the Balcatta waste station weighbridge previously (disposing of rubbish), but am not sure they would look kindly on me towing my caravan across it! In any case, I need to uncouple the van for its stand-alone weight and to enable me to calculate the ball weight - I'd probably be breaking some City of Stirling by-law and be hit with a big fine! I'll
check out the other suggestions. Hope the result is not too scary.
