I was wondering if anyone out there actually thinks that Cadbury Favourites should have the Turkish Delights removed from the pack. I reckon that they are having a lend of us - filling those packets with yummy chocolates but then popping a few of those Turkish Delights ( an oxymoron if I have ever heard of one (apart from Microsoft Works of course)). I reckon I can hear the Cadbury people giggling as they pop them into the Favourites boxes. Does anyone have a good use for them? Maybe they can be used to stop fuel leaks or something.

Andrew I agree they taste like sh-t , no one in my family likes them. They must be cheap to make so they bung them in every selection. If you have ever thought about it the good ones only have one in the packet . This turns into a family argument and I bet those buggers at cadbury know this is the case and sit there in the office and p-ss them selfs laughing.
All the best

Yeh I agree - the Government sent those poor Turks packing from Melville Island so send their Delights with them for punishment...

My doc has warned me off all chocs (the b-stard), but if I was able, I'd just lurrve to have turkish delights in the pack. So there.
But for travelling, we stock up on dried fruit and nuts and those bulk birdseed bars. Still hanker for a choccy, tho.

Obviously, eating too much of any food may cause health problems. The cocoa butter in chocolate does contain saturated fat, which can increase blood cholesterol levels, and high cholesterol can contribute to heart disease. However, recent research at the University of California, Davis, has found that chocolate carries high levels of chemicals known as phenolics, some of which may help lower the risk of heart disease. Plants such as chocolate, coffee, tea, and others contain high levels of phenolics.

Ha ha - found this on the web. You can make a case for anything... Take this to you doc and watch his heart sink. lol lol
((Please read the disclaimer - The exploroz website is responsible if you eat chocolate and drop dead of a heart attack.))

joc45 - don't do it.....Life is too short......bought a whole large block too..... If I hear of any jocs keeling over I just know that I am gunna feel guilty. How about a nice block of Soy chocolate. Doc would be impressed as it has phyto-oestogens to help the prostate and is also good for lowing you cholesterol. Supposed to be good for the breasts too so share it with the missus. Only thing though - like Soy cappucino - can't get it past my tonsils - nearly as bad as TURKISH DELIGHT.

I find the best thing to do is to stay away from Favourites altogether and just by a big, fat block of whichever chocolate you like best. In my case, good old plain chocolate - why ruin a good thing by adding bits of nuts or filling to it. Oh yeah, and it has to be Cadbury chocolate - anything else is just a poor second!

ten reasons why they should be left in andrew old mate
1 eating
2 hole fuel tank/line
3 hole muffler/exhaust
4 hole tyre
5 hole tent...... in the rain
6 sticking maps to dashboard for easy reference when lost
7 hanging up the uhf mic
8 third hand when attempting tricky solder job in bush on truck wiring
9 silencer.... stick ten in your kids mouth after the 48th "are we there yet"
10 the most important i think .........stoping gas leak in the car fridge......OH NO the beer/wine is getting hot

I reckon that when they make windows they put a slight bow in them just to make you look - um - larger in the horizontal dimension than in reality. Enjoy em. Yeh yeh - your scales must have a slight bow in them as well and you clothes have shrunk in the wardrobe over winter...... think it is mobile phone radiation doing that.

I like just about any Chocolate, including Turkish Delights. But I'm particularly weak when it comes to Old Jamaica!!!!!

Nonetheless, we don't take chocolate or fizzy softdrinks on any of our trips. Does really weird stuff to the kids once they get slightly bored or tired.

Interesting what you say about fizzy drinks. My folks never let me have coke or Candy" softdrink (remember that pink stuff??) as a kid because they reckon it used to make me drunk. S'kinda thilly rully, hic.
