We are about to shut down the system for about 2 hours to facilitate the server migration.

Yes we are running on the new system but there are a number of problems that I am working through. Yes it is currently significantly faster and appears to be running a sizable load already so everything is crossed hoping it stays good.
There may be a few ups and downs when I am working on things for the next few hours but hopefully the only errors will be created by me.
Enjoy the new faster system.
PS: Did you notice the minor style update to the
forum index page. There are a number of little updates on the new system and many more to come, hope you like it.

I noticed the "bookmark/Share" up the top, about a week ago (hope it has not been there longer as i will get my eyes checked !!!)
"Facebook" alone will get a lot of people interested and looking at it,
well done, all is looking good..

Thanks Joe, you do not need your eyes checked it appeared about 1 week ago still working on ironing out a few issues with how it creates thing on the Facebook side but it does a good job of linking the other social network sites into our social network site.

All searching is not working (that is
Site Search,
Forum and Blog searches) as yet and
places and the mapping systems seem to be having a few issues. So please bear with me and we will be up and running 100% real soon.
I will update as things are fixed.

places and the mapping system are resolved - I also believe we have fixed the 20 min system pause problem that caused the system to stop running for about 5mins every 20 mins - the blog and
places via email system was crashing when it went to get the emails and yes it runs every 20 mins.
Search is about the only thing I have left to get resolved and I am working on this now.

Are there still updates or something happening??? So slow , over a minute to load and often time outs. Very unuseable.

Yes there are still some problems. it works great for a period then decides to go away for no (yet discovered) reason.

Still as slow as a 3 toed sloth here. Frustrating as it's the only web site I use that regulary freezes up. Good luck with sorting it out.
