There was talk a few years back of discontinuing the 70 series line and using the 100 series as the base vehicle for everything,but I dont believe it.
Its probably easier to just keep converting them here rather than disrupting the assembly lines.
Truckster what makes us so special that we would get 1st peek at something so revolutionary? ( ;

Hi Truckster
Just back from the USA and they have the vehicle available over there. 100 series look, IFS, Coil Front, leaf back rear V8 extra cab, tub.
There are many of them on the road.

Joy, more IFS cars -> Note I dont call them 4wds......
USA has many V8's... Lux's with V8's have been round for a while overthere now.... They also have the 5.6 V8 Diesel Nissan, which is supposed to be the next Patrol, but it also has that bleep IFS in it...

Stew, nice troll, but have you seen the Volvo XC70 offroad thing, more plastic on that than a Pepsi bottle, and then go
check the price.
Then look at any new car...
If you melted down an FJ holden, you would have enough metal for 20 modern cars..

Raymond that vehicle with the 100 series look is actually a Tacoma which is a widened and stretched hilux and is not a patch on a real landcruiser.I know they look good but they have a monocoque body which cannot withstand heavy winching because they will stretch like hubba bubba on a hot day. :(
Ask any Yank who is into landcruisers and they would give their right arm to own a diesel 7* series or any reliable diesel landcruiser.

Hey,
ross ya close mate but its the other plastic pig the tundra.Your not wrong truckster plastic is worth more a kg than gold it seems.I must say i like the look of the patrol ute(pity it doesnt have the cab room of the 79).but those yank models go to far,looks like the
easter egg design team had a hand in em.
