Planning an alternate trip east in September; Meeka. to Warburton, to Marla then Marree. Has anyone recently travelled this route. Wondering how much time to allow.

I thought the Giles Mulga Park rd might be a bit of an adventure, thereby avoiding Yulara etc. Then we thought we would head for the Strezlecki.
