Hi all, Has anyone managed to buy a set of replacement Alternator brushes for their GU? Nissan dont seem to sell them as a spare part.. I think all models are the same alternator except for the pulleys.. Thanks Michael

Check out your local auto elec, he might have them or you might have to buy a complete regulator.

What i did recently is hunted down an auto electric supply place & purchased several brushes for Bosch altenators $1 Ea, normaly they want to sell you a REG with brushes. It helps if you remove the brushes & take as a sample.

I believe you have to buy the whole brushbox assy with the rectifier, which is the same if not more expensive than an alternator

Thanks for the replies, I have found that they are available from Repco but it includes brushes and holder and the regulator for around $120. It is an assembly, part nunber is 831521 or available from OEX Rotating Electrical Components for about $180 I replaced a Toyota Corolla recently and it was similar for around $35...Thats life.. thanks all , Michael
