No facilities hey. Clearly none of you have been out to False Pera Heads then? Solar pump to feed water for the showers & even carports to park the car under. Without doubt our best
campsite on the Cape, the bonus being the high cost keeps the numbers down & the riff raff out ;-) Did I mention the fishing. Barra up the nearby rivers, barracuda,
sharks,
coral trout on the reefs. Just brilliant.
While it wasn't that dear when we went I look at the cost a little differently. You spend $50,000 on your car, bolt on $20,000 worth of assesories, put $2000 worth of fuel in it to drive from one end of the country to the other. Why would I then skimp a few hundred dollars & miss out on some of the best
places in Oz even if they are overpriced in comparison?
As far as administration goes yes the permits have to be processed & the main
camp is nearly 2 hours from Arunkin for the locals to come out & slash the grass or maintain the track from time to time. With the small numbers that make the effort to go out there I doubt they take much money in the few months it's open but at least it's not locked up totally like many areas.
