Hi all, this question is not for me but a mate who doesn't get on forums. he has the new Toyota V8 diesel trayback and wants to know if putting a 3 inch exhaust will help it perform better?

He toys a car float and finds it a little under whelming, so wants to make it go better.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve,

A bigger exhaust will make a very noticeable difference, as well as bring EGT temps down. He could also add a chip, that too makes a real difference as well.

Cheers

Captain
I fully agree. I have a 3" exhaust and chipped the motor. The extra power is very noticeable beside my mates V8. Same year same model.

Hi Mudduck

I had a 3 inch exhaust and Tunit Chip fitted to my Toyota V8 diesel trayback.
This gave me a big increase in power, and now pulls much better when towing.
