I am currently having a problem with my Electric Brakes. What is happening is the brakes will come on without touching the brake every so often. I blamed the controller so disconnected it. Since then I have found a battery wire earthing onto chassis. Could this be the reason and perhaps the controller is ok?

mate isolate the wire ( wrap some electrical tape around it), re-connect your controller and go for a drive with trailer on if it stops playing up then you have fixed, and or get some one to put pressure on brake pedal with a test light in the socket, not sure if second method will be any good. i don't get to playwith brake controllers much these days.

G'Day Christopher,

I had similar problems recently with my Tekonisha? (spelling) instead of there being a 'C' in the little current indicator screen it had a reading of varying amounts from roughly 0.7-1.7 while traveling ( I dont rest my foot on the break pedal) I could get the reading back to zero if I backed of the adjustment roller but as soon as I tried to adjust it back up again you could feel the brakes slightly being applied.

My electrical nouse being what it is, all I did was unplug the controler and blew on the plug and the control connection and wha laa all fixed........For now!

Cheers......Browny
