I was wondering if anyone has got or has seen the new Coleman Bigfoot dome tent
and can give any
feedback on it.
I would really like to know about the weight!
In all the technical bumph it says it weighs in at 28kg which is HUGE for a non canvas dome tent - does anyone know if this is correct.
I can't understand why it is so heavy when it's not even canvas or has a steel or aluminium frame.
Most dome tents of equal size are at least 10kg less
Any
views or info will be appreciated
Cheers
David

Haven't seen one but that is a VERY large tent Dagil - 2.6 x 4.9 x 2.15m. The heavy duty PVC floor would be the heaviest part no doubt.

There are simliar sized ones and bigger that are much lighter.
From Kangroo Tent City they have -
Diamantina Murray 6EV - 530cm x 305cm x 210cm high and only 15kgs
The Diamantina Fraser 6 Geodesic Dome - 480cm x 240cm x 200cm high at 17.9kg
I wonder what adds another 10+ kgs to make this tent SO heavy?
Thanks
David
