Hi. I will be towing a 22ft van down to Wagga in april and am thinking to cross over to the coast afterwards. Would anyone have driven main road 18 recently and know if it is suitable for a van this size being towed by a 120 Prado. I,m guessing it would be steep in places but can't seem to find anything in a search for road conditions. Thanks for any help. Bob

Thanks mate. That is saying the opposite way can be steep so I should be OK from the Wagga way. Thanks for your help. That one did not come up in my search. Cheers,Bob

We have just had MAJOR floods in the past week - with a lot of damage in the area, my family and myself are still traped out where we are as the bridge is out and we are cut off - was without power and water for over a week ( and phone / net )

just be aware of this if travelling to areas off the main road as a lot of the area was flood affected - bega cheese factory heritage center is still closed due to flood damage so you wont be able to get in for a rest stop

for those interested - i posted a vid on youtube showing the flood in our area and the water running through our property. some good footage here shows a few days - ( day 1 day 2 ) will edit later to show after effects showing the devastation - we have lost close to 200 trees alone on our property - all sailed down the creek into the bega river

Wow Begaboy. That is some volume of water. We thought we had it bad in the Shellharbour area a couple of days before you but that video is phenominal. Hope you get through it relatively unscathed, as we have. (50mm in our workshop is all) One fellow lost his life and untold are without homes in our area. Cheers,Bob.
