Hello Everyone,
I am currently tracking down a Jayco campertrailer (Swan or simlar) and will be towing it with a new Commodore Omega 6 cylinder. We can obviously work our way through the Big 4 parks across the state, but i was hoping you may be able to offer a few excellent parks / spots that are inland that have been a stand out for you in Victoria or close by throughout your travels.
Some sort of basic ammenities would be preferred for the first few trips, i don't want to scare her off too soon!!
I was thinking
halls gap,
Mildura, Cobram or
lakes entrance maybe? Please offer any suggestions that i can visit for long weekends (3-5 days) , but please note it maybe several months before we start our trips because the Jayco is still being hunted.
When we start i will let you know how we went at your suggested site and perhaps share others as we go. While i don't mind the gravel, please don't point me into offroad country.
Cheers
Mauler

Hi Mauler, Look at
Green Hill Lake which is about 4 Km east of Ararat on the Western Highway. Very pretty & you can walk into the town if you wish there is a designated walkers path. The
Ranger, Max visits maybe twice a day & the charge to use the ammenities is $5 per
camp. There are hot showers & the usual
toilet facilities. There is a blog on here which is most helpful...

Hi Orejap,
Thanks for the tip and i followed the link and it sounds like a great spot. We loved a weekend in Avoca we had last year and its not too far from there so looking forward to it.
I just checked out the blog which has a huge amount of info. Just so i am clear and not stepping on toes inadvertantly, "The Blog" is for all travel and technical questions while the "Forum" is more for items that relate to the published magazine?
I am just wondering which threads to start where as a basic guide for future reference.
Cheers
Mauler
