Had a good price for a set of Lovells coils for an 89 GQ lwb. Are the Lovells shocks rebedged Monroes (as a few other brands appear to be)? What shocks work well in conjunction with Lovell springs? (Apart from Lovells of course!) Hesitant to pay the high cost of Konis, may steer towards Ranchos - 5000s at the front & 9000s at the rear (for the adjustability when not carrying).

Any ideas? Replies appreciated!

Actually, a Koni salesperson at last 4x4 show told me that Koni & OME coils are the same. Could it be a true ?

Cheers,
Dmitri.

They are all probably made in 2 different companies in aussie, but all to different specs, like materials, coils, etc.

I was reffering to Koni shocks...

Have the lovells and Konis on my 2003 GU, nearly as good as driving the old 5L Fairmont with the same fitout, and they lasted over ten years, great value for money.
