Hi Paddy,
Is it a cable or hydraulic clutch??
If it is hydraulic, hop under neath while someone depresses the clutch for you and see if the pushrod has jumped out of the slave cyl and is jammed.
If it is cable perhaps it has rusted so that it won't move though this is unlikely.
I am not familiar with the rodeos so that is the best I can think of mate..
Cheers, Bruce.

I would guess if it is still stuck you have rusted the clutch to the pressure plate. Maybe it was wet last time or you past through a deep water crossing.
Try and start it in gear see if that knocks it loose. Either way not good for the pressure plate - might have a bit of a shudder until it wears in again.
Only other thing is something mechanical stopping the clutch pedal going down - have a look under the dash for something physically stopping the clutch pedal.
Maybe the master cylinder has siezed - unlikely. If this is it you should be able to free it up but you would need to buy another one and fit asap.
Only other remote possibility is a collapsed flexible line that goes from chassis to slave cylinder and this needs replacing. More often they stop fluid coming back. Just a remote one if you ruled out everything else.
Clutches are pretty simple, just awkward to get out.
Cheers
David

Now that Bruce has mentioned it that would be the first thing to
check and the most likely.
The push rod has jumped out of position.

it is a hydraulic clutch. i can only get about 1/4 of normal movement out of the clutch pedal. Have tried to put it in gear and start it but it doesnt seem to select a gear. ??????????

Mate if it is a v6 it would have a reverse pull clutch assy, and the problem would be in the pressure plate and throwout bearing, one other thing to
check would be to undo the bleeder valve on slave cylinder (bolted to the gearbox bellhousing) if pedal goes to the floor then gearbox will have to be removed to
check clutch assy if it still does not move you will have a seized hyd cylinder which would be unlikely. Cheers Mark.

Hey mate, sorry to say but I think your RA has what is known as "Pull type clutch" and sounds like the thrust bearing has come out of pressure plate fingers. Try pushing the slave cylinder back in by hand see if pedal then goes down ans pushes it back out. If so and then pedal is again
rock hard you will have to pull out the gearbox as next step. Good luck
