Hi all,
Can anyone recommend someone that does 4WD pre-trip inspections near the Blackburn, Nunawading, Ringwood area?

Hi Russler,
Am in the same boat - planning to go around in Mid-may for 1 year with the family in LC 100.
I have talked to Outback 4WD in bayswater and they seem very professional and have a 2 week waiting period (good sign). I do suspect that they may not be cheap - they have a
shop in the front stocked with great gear (ARB, etc) but also very pricey.
Then again - you play for what you get.

Hey Russler,
Have you used Outback 4WD or heard if they provide a good service?
I need a trailer brake, UHF & new back springs installed as
well as a good service and some spare parts.
Thanks
John

G'day Russler, I can recommend SCS 4X4 in Braeside, it's not that far if you use East Link.
Phone Jeff on 95873088.
Just a very satisfied customer for 20 years.
Barry.

Hi
John, sorry, but I've never actually been in there. I haven't heard any info about them either, good or bad.
Thanks Barry, I'll check them out.

Hi,
If you are a member of an auto club get them to do it. If there are issues take it some one for rectifying.
Cheers

Russ,
if you want the best then pop up to ATOC auto's at Belgrave South. Aaron is well known as a 4x4 expert. No dearer than anyone else but really knows his stuff. I always took the Pootrol before and after a trip. If I wasn't in the western suburbs these days he'd be doing the Tojo as well. A little bit of a hike but worth the effort.
Cheers Mick

No question for me. Outback 4Wd. Have used them for over 6 years, two vehicles, Patrol and now a Troopy, that have undertaken around 4 long range, remote area trips.

We used Allterrain 4x4 in Dandenong when we did our trip. Could not speak highly enough of them. They were all about what we wanted. I was impressed when my wife picked up the car and the guys took the time to talk her through what they did. Well priced and very thorough.

Very helpful with all aspects of trip preperation.
