Sorry for the delay in getting this resolved but there were a number of technical issues with the server upgrade that took extra time to resolve but the User Route/User Trek upload system is now working again.
If you are unsure what this is, then quickly it is the ability to upload OziExplorer routes and GPX files to ExplorOz directly to create User
Treks. Each persons user
treks then appear as part of your personal MyMap showing your trips on a map of Australia. For an example please click on MyProfile in the signature below and you will be taken to our profile which has a MyMap showing some of our journeys and place updates.
The Upload tool is available on all pages that support/show our mapping system.

Hi David,
Is the link between User
Treks and
blogs, as per your beta
test blog "
Wiluna to Telfer via Gibson Desert" still on the agenda?
Regards
Alan

Alan,
Yes and you can actually do it already - there is just no pretty interface but to make the magic happen.
Go to your user profile and open the User Trek of interest - in the window on the map you will see the ID number of the Route 3 or 4 digit number, take a note of this number - then open your blog and in the text where you want it, add this:
[ur]XXXX[/ur]
The XXXX of course is the id of the user route. Do this hit Preview or Submit and presto your route will be shown in the blog. I am so far behind in things that I just have not had the time to get the nicer interface working but have a go like this and see how you go.
Let me know how it goes and maybe followup this with a link to your blog with the route in it so I can take a look and see if the interface is working 100%.

Thanks David,
That wasn't too hard and seemed to work.
A small blogplot
1.
A much larger blogplot
2.
Cheers

Excellent and it works too. I can see the need to be able to add Waypoint to the image to make it all hang together - I may just add some more options to the [ur] to allow you to select a number of waypoints or I may change user
treks to allow you to tag waypoints to a user route (this seems like a much more logical approach). I will get onto this when I get a chance.
Now I need to work out how your
forum update ended up sending me a TriathlonOz header email template and not the ExplorOz one. Can you do me a favour and send me another followup to this. Also note if you get the EO or TO email from this Followup. Thanks.
David

Thanks I have fixed it but it needs to be loaded later as it will cause the system to restart - now there are just too many users connected I will do it overnight. It is a timing issue and you may get the right one or the wrong one it just depends - the update will fix it 100%. Thanks for the quick response.

David, I know this is a little off topic but would it also be possible to have the repeater index in GPX format instead of Oziexplorer format.

Yes - I have this on the list as that link to the repeaters is not really supported any more - I have not killed it because I do not have the new system finished yet.
You will be able to download this and all other POI's from
places by state very soon this list will be available at
Find UHF Repeaters
I promise I will make this work soon but I am getting a lot more pressure from some other task link members galleries and stuff but it is certainly on the list.
