Easiest way is to go to the evening meetings of a couple of clubs and see what interests you. Most offer good training and a mix of weekend and longer trips. Many clubs have a lot of older members at their meetings - usually the younger members do the trips.

I agree with Phil.... a good 4WD club is the way to go. You'll meet like minded people who will happily help you learn the ropes!!

Cheers

Brian

G'day south_maw

Went on a trip with Connie-Sue Beaddell and husband Mick Hutton some years back. Absolutey excellent. Best trip I've ever done with a group.

If you search for 4Wd tour operators in Adelaide you will find more than the one mentioned in this thread.

If you also search for 4WD training in Adelaide you will come up with a similar result

There are plenty of clubs around but many people are not comfortable making the commitment that clubs often require

There is always an opportunity to mix and match by having a commercial operator do some training and if your interest then extends to joining a club that can be a great way to obtain more experience in a cost efficient manner

Regard
