You may need to give them a bit more info. VMS is the hardware. I gather that you are talking about software. The VMS normally comes with two navigation products. Namely Igo Street nav based on the whereis maps. It also has MemoryMap an off road navigation program. We have removed those two and put Oziexplorer on ours. The Windows CE version of course as the VMS operating platform is Windows CE.
I do not have a iphone so I cannot help you.
I don't even use my, years old, flat as a tack, mobile phone.

Do a search for ipad on the
forum and you will find comments on the vms app. Most ipad apps apply to iphone but my iphone is a crap gps out in the sticks. The ipad however is very good. The vms app gets mixed reviews from ordinary to excellent. I tried Bit Map on recommendation from the
forum and found it reads my Ozi maps fine without conversion which is excellent. Mike

I considered this for a new GPS software with the ipad after getting rid of my HEMA 5.
Seems from reviews that it is not worth the $$$ for the VMS itunes APP.
Plus to run it out of network coverage you will need an extra GPS receiver for the iphone or ipad.
I am gonna save up for a VMS 600, unless something better comes uo in the meantime.
