Firstly thanks to all those who helped me with my altenator woes.
All of the feed back I had suggested I was in for a big repair bill. My altenator was draining the battery and I had a quote from a wrecker for a second hand one of $330. The next best price was over $400. The problem is that it is common for these altenators to crap out. Another suggestion was to get mine overhauled by an Auto elec for about $300 so then I knew I would have a good one.
This car is also my work vehicle so I didn't want it in the shop for any length of time, so decided to check the price of a new one.

Heres the good bit! I came across a place called "Auto Electrics Australia", rang up for a quote, $352.00 +Gst !!!! BRAND NEW and that includes the BRAND NEW vac pump!!!! Raced up to Brissy, picked it up before they could change their minds

Happy Chappy
