Has anyone here ordered the 'coil-right' airbags from a US supplier, for an 80 series landcruiser?

If you are not aware, you can pick the air bags at half price, delivered!

Only thing is, I'm not sure if there 1991 landcruiser is the same as our 80 series
I'm also after a 2 inch lifted bag, so if anyone has done the same, it would be great to hear some advise.

Thanks for any help, but please note I'm only concerned with this brand bag.

Thanks again
Enjoy
Troy

Hi Troy,

I know you stated that you only want Firestone Airbags but I thought I would chime in anyway.

I am currently in Phoenix Az and visited the "Airbagit" shop and factory yesterday and picked up 4 airbags for a trailer I will be bringing to Qld.

You might want to look at the this link which may be of interest.

Air bag options for Landcruiser

If you have any questions please email Joe Morrow joe@Chassistech.com and he will help you.

He also said that they send to Australia on a regular basis.

No affiliation with the company just extremely impressed with their service and help they gave me.

Hi Troy,
About 18months ago I purchased Coil-Rite Airbags for my Toyota 80 from
www.trucksprings.com. Price and service was very good. You could email them about your particular requirements. They are very helpful.

Guy

Thanks Guy, yeah are the fellas I'll be going through.
So far I'm not getting much luck in the help side of things.
Was your 80 std height or lifted?
It takes me about 3 days to get a reply, so thought maybe I'd get a quicker answer here.
Cheers

Hello Troy
I looked at the link for 'Airbagit' and the diagram with a bracket coming of the chassis for the top of the bag I don't think would fit a leaf sprung landcruiser.
I fitted my Firestone Bags from the Australian site and the bottom bracket that sits over the Ubolts is similar but the air bag is placed directly under the chassis rail not offset to the inside as described in the link. The Australian version is fixed where the bump stops are and when they are removed the top bracket uses the same bolt locations.

Hi Troy.
I got mine from Aussie Air Suspension in Midland WA (they are Aus made). Fit kit was well set out and all went straight in. Worth a call.

Hi Troy,

I ordered Firestones for my GU and 200 series from Michigan Trucksprings and they were, as you say, less than half price delivered. My GU ones were standard, but I needed 2" lifted ones for my 200. I rang them and they searched thru the catalogue to find one that suited.

What they need is the inside diameter of the coil and normal length of coil (unloaded). It wasn't listed for my vehicle, but worked perfectly. Ringing them can be a bit hit and miss, some of the guys are very helpful and others are "less than helpful"!

The USA 100 series was the same as ours and I would have thought the 80 would have been too.

Cheers

Thanks fellas for the help and advice,
Think I'll try get the measuring tape out and contact them again.
It'd be easier to get them from Oz, but less than half price might just justify the extra hassle.
Not sure why we should be getting quotes over $300 plus delivery from here, when we can have them delivered from the other side of the world for under $150

Cheers again
