Hi All
I have received a few enquiries recently about the
Cooper Creek and the ferry operation. I have tried to contact my usual person in Transport SA, but she is away on annual leave, so I spoke to the next person in charge today.
What I have been told was that there is a very lot of water still coming down and they feel that the ferry will be back in operation again, some time in May.
I am still waiting on pictures of the upgraded ferry, and will try again after
Easter for more official details.
Drive Safely if you are on the Road over the
Easter Break.
Cheers to All.
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for taking the time to keep us all updated, I am sure everyone will agree, it is great to be kept in the know as to what is going on, as we some of us are heading up that way this winter. Looking forward to more information, thanks again.
Cheers Marion

Hi Marion
It is a pleasure to offer this information, as I know that it has helped out many people in the past. I am also keeping a close eye on it also, as I would love to revisit it again for a ride on the longer ferry.
I was hoping to have more details, but another week or so will not make that much difference. The good thing is that water is coming down again and Transport SA are getting ready for it.
Cheers and have a great
Easter Break
Stephen

On ABC news this morning they expect it to be operating in five weeks time and to be needed for six months.

Yes the above is also confirmed on Transport SA's website.
A worthwhile read with all kinds of facts and figures regarding the ferry and it's use.
