Morning all!

At times when I'm just cruising around country or repairing fences I get a bit emotional. And with the wet season now gone this poem just 'popped' out of my head. I really do love it in the Pilbara!!

Whilst the land is green
The stock now have some steam
As the stock get fat
Pastoralists are always up for a chat
The rain clouds come from afar
Now the road is closed to Marble Bar
As there is no blast
I bloody hope these rains last

As the creeks and rivers flow
People know it's time too go

I'm still working on it. And with the cooler months near people can really enjoy just cruising around this great land of OURS!!

Cheers

Matthew

Know the feeling Matthew - well done - keep at it.

Planning on doing a bit of cruising in that region fairly soon too.

Cheers - Phil

G'day Matt. Just had a few days at the Illabo (NSW) Music Muster. Sunday morning was "Poets breakfast" and it was one of the most entertaining events we have witnessed. Many poets like yourself narrated their own and older verses along with a lot of humour and antics. The morning was gone before we knew it. Many thanks to the people of Illabo ( a small farming community) for organising a terrific weekend. Your hard work was much appreciated and we hope to return next year. Bob.
