Help! I keep breaking LH mounts on the patrol. Is a 4.2 petrol. Anyone got any tips about fixing it? A mate of
mine shoved a body mount in there and put a bolt all the way thru to the chassis. I would think it would vibrate bad, but he reckons not (but he is rough though) Any thoughts?

Have the same problems with a GQ 3.0l petrol patrol. Am told that it's normal for them to go about every 70,000k but I do one each time I do decent 4x4ing. For example replace one before going to the Cape and replaced it again when returning.

Check other mounts like Gearbox etc if you do them regularly. Other than that are you hard on the clutch?? Sudden oodles of power/Torque is what kills them, and if your hard off the clutch they will fubar. But sounds like yours has other issues if you do them regularly.
I've done ~50,000 in
mine, done 1 mount. it now has nearly 300,000 on it.

It seems to be fine on road. I have checked gearbox mounts as
well and they are good. Maybe early 2 bolt mounts don't like claws & twin lockers..... I'll come up with a solution yet - maybe a bracket of a late model with 4 bolt mount for the LHS perhaps
Thanks
