Hi Rusty
We are also leaving Good Friday to travel the
Holland Track. I have just rung the
Hyden tourist info people. They tell me all is good as far as they know as the shire haven't told them any different. As for starting at
Broomehill, it is mainly through farming till the Katanning
Pingrup road then there is a turn off from there. There is a cement tank that has a commemorative
plaque in the
parking bay and a track that leads to
Holland Rocks. Once you turn off the Kat road it is gravel. I think this part is known as the
John Holland Way but it links up with the track once you reach
Hyden. I have a booklet called Explore the
Holland Track and
Cave Hill Woodlines which has lots of info and way points etc. in it. As for a
camp spot near
Broomehill you might be better to wait till you are on the Kat
Pingrup road. I cant think of anywhere off hand. We spent a few months in the area but all I can think of is truck bays . Good luck with your trip and we might meet you somewhere out there. Vicki & Chris
