Off to Lawn Hill NP in two weeks. I am unclear whether I can get my 30foot(total length) van in. Some info says I can, others not. I note tha NP has sites for large vehicles, so assume access is available. Thanks for current info and feedback.

Ant,
No worries coming in from the south. Forget going up to KFC. You better check QLD roads before you go for storm damage.

Cheers

Have a look at the sites available at Adels Grove, on the way to the NP, for comparison. You may find that Adels is the better option for staying, with your rig, as they certainly have some very pleasant sites that will take your size.

Wendy's reply is the drum - Adel's Grove is the way to go, a bit more expensive, but much more comfortable.

Have a great trip

We too chose Adels Grove. They have generator sites if you need power (and have a genny). Roomy sites and a nice serviced campground - except no powered sites. Just 10 km drive to Gorge each day. NP camps looked small and crowded.

Hi I was there about a week ago & the roads were really bad from Gregory Downs. You wouldn't be able to tow into adels grove.. Things may have changed by now? I believe they were waiting for the grader to go through

Hi Ant

Phone the office at Adels Grove or the Ranger Station at Lawn Hill (if you can find the phone contact). Both will know about conditions of access roads, as it seems this may be a problem.
