I am thinking of modifying my CT to be able to carry a quad bike on the draw bar. the CT is a CYT hard floor, has butterfly boxes, battery, 2 X jerrys, and 2 X gas carriers on the draw bar. i realize that i will have to sacrifice all the above to accommodate a quad, but i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on this type of modification, re-location or modification of the storage boxes, or if anyone has done it before?

thanks,
John

First thought ids the ballweight will go the hell in a basket and is the A frame up to it.

It is meant to tow the trailer not carry excessive loads

By the sounds of it could be overloaded already.

Complete Campsite campertrailers had made a soft floor model as did "Sweetaz" campers in Bundaberg. I'd looked at it but opted to build a quad specific trailer in the end, mainly due to weight considerations.

Sorry, couldn't find the rest. The Sweetaz unit was very well put together.

The draw bar strength could be tested, I saw a trailer in town today where the draw bar had snapped at the front of the box section, cause appeared to be overloaded.
