I have a Garmin Nuvi 1450 and today i have just received the Hema Raster Map Collection. I have downloaded the collection onto the computer now I want to know how do i get those maps on the GPS?

Raster map format won't run on a Garmin.
Garmin use vector maps unless something has changed.
To use hema maps you will need windows operating system.
With oziexplorer installed
http://www.oziexplorer.com/ And the ce version for mobile units
Like a hema navigator or a pda/gps or a hacked navman.
You them just copy the maps to a suitable sd card and insert in the device and adjust a few settings for oziexplorer to read maps from the sd card.

I know it cost $$$$$ ( $229) but what about Garmin topo aus & nz - Good maps - will that work ??

I'm not realy up to speed on the Garmin and google map stuff.
Flat out just trying to figure out oziexplorer.
I think google maps just works through the interweb?
