Hi All,
I am trying to find out where to get the stick on paintwork protection used to stop body scratches when you in the scrub. We are planning a trip up the CSR in June and know from a previous trip that on some parts of the track your vehicle is susceptible to scratching form the scrub.
Any information would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.

I spoke to the people who do stick on stripes on sides of vehicles and they said they do a clear plastic. forgot who they are. Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Top stuff.
I used this a couple of years back on a Nullarbor run through the overgrown telegraph track. Well worth it. The tree branches left horrible scratches on the skin, but after removing the skin, there were no marks on the paint.
It's really a sort of PVA glue, which you roll on with a small foam roller, giving it about 2-3 coats (doesn't take long between coats). Needs about a day or two to dry properly and looks pretty horrible. This stopped the heaviest overgrown branches from scratching the paintwork. At the end of the trip, wet the coating down, and it peels off like gladwrap. Just make sure it is only applied to paint, not the plastic bits, as it's hard to remove from plastic. Best not left on the paintwork for more than about 6 weeks, otherwise hard to get off.
I did the sides and about 300mm onto the bonnet. Didn't worry about the centre of the bonnet or the roof, as I had a roof rack.
Wasn't cheap, about $50 a litre, but this did 3 coats on the Patrol, and saved the paintwork.
No connection with Autoskin, just a happy customer.
cheers, Gerry

John
Found it hard to contact them via ,website but 1300 306 712 got the ball rolling.
Good people to deal with and freight cost is quite reasonable.
