Just bought an ARB side awning and I'm wondering about the mounting system. It seems to me that the stainless bolt heads would eat away the aluminium extrusion they're slotted into if you're driving on rough corrugated roads. Anyone had any problems with this?

Hi Brett & Julie
Not a problem as long as they are tight enough so there is no movement if they come loose maybe they may damage the extrusion but you would only have to move the frame 20mm and all would be like new

Totally agree with Kev - took
mine over 5000km of rough to really rough roads/ tracks last year wiith no problems - as Kev said, keep the bolts tight - shouldn't loosen anyway as they are supplied with Nyloc nuts
Cheers
