Reports from the local guys are the Calvert is crossable, some very large wash outs that have NOT been repaired yet ...... ### NOTE, ROAD IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED ### so dont attempt it yet, no repair crews have been able to get out there yet but i am told it is getting closer ...
Wont be long so hang in, i cant wait to go west for some "discovery" trips ....
I have yet to catch up with the guys from Hells
Gate but at last contact it will be open as per normal again, same deal, no eftpos so you will need to carry cash, Bill has not been
well this year so i hope they are all ok, it reminds me of "Rabbit Flat" it would be a shame to see it close as it is a nice spot and sort of halfway point for most going through, many of the "charitys" use it as a stopover point and would make the trip nearly impossible for them to do it if they shut down.... The " bleep box rally" charity is stopping there this year, i hope to catch up with them there, should be fun ...
