i am trying to fit a fujitsu ten stereo to my 105 series landcruiser 2002 model, the stereo seems to be ten mm to wide on both sides
,
do you have to cut the panel or is there a panel from a different model that will fit ?

ime not real keen on cuttinng my panel. i think it would look rather tacky !

a few weeks ago we fitted a new radio in the Station Triton , it was in a sort of a mounting cradle in the box, we had to remove the radio from that cradle before it would fit in the space in the vehicle. then just throw the discarded cradle in the bin.

The later model in a 100 ser is 08600-00988 or 08600-00989 and is quite

different to the 2002 dashboard

It has a rounded face and is a funny grey color and the older one is flat and black

Have you removed the whole centre assembly, it sounds not. Once that is removed you mount the radio behind in its cradle either single din or double din and replace the facia in front of it.

Hope it helps.

Join up at Lcool forum and do a search on Radio installations.

Should tell you how to do it.

Do the search They get upset it its there and you dont.

According to the manual you have to remove the surround and fit the radio and put the faceplate back over it.

It will have illustrations on Lcool on how to do it.

There are 4 clips to undo to get it out two are just above the outer edges of the radio and two are just above the centre level of the air controls.

You will need a body clip separator or a thin knife to disengage them
