Has anybody ever heard of, or seen a lifestraw personal filter?

It is a small tube with a mouth piece at one end, that will filter any water you care to stick your head in.
Supposedly able to filter a years supply of water for an adult. Two for kids.
Was thinking along the lines of a back up
water supply, expecially when touring on the bike.

Seem s good,
Affordable, small, good filtration, and light.
Do you have to suck on it to get the water through it or is it a pump setup?
could be difficult drawing water from a crack in
the rock or a deep pit in the corner of a dried up creek bed.
Is it field serviceable, can you replace the membrane/ filter, or is it throw away etc?
Points I looked at when sorting out my water needs.
I personally use an MSR miniworks EX and steripen together.
Pre filter dirty water, run thru filter, then hit with the steripen.
Have spare parts kit and filter, filter is easily cleaned in the field etc.
All bases covered then.
