CHRIS
Does anyone know why when you use the back button the topic page goes from the centre of the page to the side of the page. When you log on its ok but changes after the first topic is looked at.

Chris - having the same problem here. But I notice that if you use the "back to forum" button at the bottom it doesn't happen - only the "back" button seems to be the problem. Also fixes itself if you click back on the "Forum" tab. Very odd!

You guys reckon it is odd - I cannot begin to understand why or how this is occuring. The Browsers back button is a built in funtion of the browser and I have no ability to make the system do something else when the back button is used. I have also seen the problem and I am aware that the issue has only started since our server migration last week. I will see what I can found out however as mentioned using the Back to
Forum button at the end of each post works correctly.Regards

Same here. Started yesterday. Doesn't do it all the time.
And the "View Details" button takes a while to appear.
Recall it did this 2-3 weeks back as
well.
good luck, David!

Found it - I think! I found a tiny missing statement in the HTML using a very old version of Netscape. The output code now looks good.
Let me know if you have any more problems!Regards

Our stats engine says yes but there are not many of them. I keep an old version 4.76 setup here as it helps when looking for strange errors that the new browsers will just accept. In this case there was a single <tr> missing from the output that seemed to be causing the issue with certain levels of IE.Regards

Even more interesting - I just updated my system from windowsupdate and there was an IE update available. I installed it and now it appears that the problem has gone away. As i mentioned earlier it really cannot be to do with the site however I does seem very strange and yes I have seen it myself however I cannot find anything that I can do to fix it. I will keep my eye on it since installing this update and see what gives.

David,
I hate to dissappoint but I did that Update a couple of days ago and have experienced the same problems intermittently.

Slightly off topic, but I find that if your browser supports tabs, as does Netscape and Mozilla but not sure about IE, the nicest way to navigate the group is to look at the post in a new tab while leaving the
forum index in the first tab. That way you instantly return to the index when you close the tab with the post in it. No waiting for any reloading. Tabbed browsing is the way to go!
